Jing Chen is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Department of Innovation and Organizational Economics at Copenhagen Business School, Denmark. She is also a Visiting Associate Professor of Business at NYU Shanghai. She holds a PhD from Florida International University, a M.A. and B. A. from Nanjing University. Chen's research and teaching focus on entrepreneurship. One research strand investigates the determinants of entrepreneurial entry and new business performance, including labor market friction, financial constraints, prior experience, and selection versus learning. The second research strand considers the founding conditions of start-ups, with special interest in how founding conditions persistently influence business performance and organizational behavior.
