Wen Wen is an Assistant Professor at the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin. Wen received her Ph.D. in Information Technology Management and M.S. in Statistics from Georgia Institute of Technology. Using economic and statistical techniques, Wen investigates innovation and entrepreneurship in high-tech industries. Among others, she studies how technological innovation is influenced by factors such as intellectual property strategies, platform strategies, and venture capital financing. Her work has been published in top-tier journals such as Management Science, Strategic Management Journal, Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, and Journal of Marketing Research. She has received several best paper awards and nominations, and has been supported by various grants from the Ewing Kauffman Foundation, the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, the Marketing Science Institute, the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), and the Networks, Electronic Commerce, and Telecommunications (NET) Institute.
